This $3 brush is perfect for clearing debris and dust from your mechanical keyboard, gadgets.

I've previously written about my affection for split mechanical keyboards: [https://lnkd.in/gX\_P94yU](https://lnkd.in/gX%5FP94yU?ref=techstories.co)

**🔤 Mechanical keyboa**rds

The mechanical keyboard is a wonderful invention.

- They feel great.
- They last almost forever.
- They are highly repairable.
- They are very customisable.

The downside? They can be a pain to clean, a problem since they are used for years and years.

Sure, every key - including individual mechanical switches - can be prised out and lovingly cleaned. But who has the time to do that regularly? Not me.

The typical recommendations are:

🔸Keyboard gel cleaner doesn't work well with the deep grooves on my keyboard.

🔸Compressed air gets costly over time and can't get rid of fine dust.

🔸Wet tissue or a damp clothe causes dust to clump together instead.

This is where this simple brush with its long soft bristles can go a long way to reach between keys, removing a satisfying amount of gunk you didn't even know was there.

As a bonus, I've found that it works on various peripherals such as monitors too.

𝗣𝗦: I do pair this with 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes to remove the oils on keycaps.

Do you have any tricks to keep your peripherals clean?
