It has been 13 days since I last posted. I can't believe how much has happened in the technology space in that short span of time.

Anyway, I'm back.

A short break

As is customary every year, I took some time off my daily posts to spend time with my family. I announced it in my newsletter, so only a handful pinged me this time around. Appreciate it if you did.

Breaks are great in that they force a reset from routines. This frees up mental capacity for subconscious processing and introspection, allowing me to cut through the mental clutter and gain clarity.

In the weeks ahead, I'll be making some changes to the content I write and the platforms I post them on. More on that soon.

Developments aplenty

I kept a tab on news, and the developments were astounding. A few from my saved articles, including events I couldn't attend:

  • IMDA formally announces DC-CFA 2.
  • Johor stops approving certain data centres.
  • Digital Realty and BW Digital connectivity partnership.
  • IBM CEO calls out unsustainable AI spending.
  • Illya Sutskever: The age of scaling is over.
  • Event: Samsung's tri-fold media launch.
  • Anthropic releases Claude Opus 4.5.
  • Event: Inaugural SEA-LION Summit.
  • DeepSeek debuts new AI models.

I'll write about some of them next week. Yes, this includes DC-CFA 2, which has multiple components I haven't seen properly fleshed out in media reports so far. The vision is actually pretty breathtaking.

See you at the Awards

If you're attending the w.media Asia Awards 2025 Gala happening on Friday, I'll be there too. Look forward to the chance to catch up in person. Do step up to say hi.
